No Season is Wasted

Change has never been easy for me, especially in excess. As a mother to energetic three-year-old and two-year-old bundles of joy, navigating parenthood amidst a pandemic has been one of the most formidable changes I've encountered. The absence of playdates and park outings, the void left by canceled friend gatherings and mastermind sessions, and the task of explaining face coverings to my curious three-year-old – every aspect of life feels different.
Yet, amidst the upheaval, there have been silver linings. The advent of services like Instacart has revolutionized our shopping experience, making it safer and more convenient than ever. However, the temptation to cocoon within the safety of our home has been all too real. Yet, I've come to realize that while comfort is enticing, growth lies beyond the confines of familiarity.
The realization struck me with clarity: the playdates and friend gatherings weren't mere social outings; they were lifelines that kept me tethered to my identity beyond motherhood. In losing those connections, I found myself losing sight of the woman I once was – the woman who thrived on creativity, connection, and community.
Ironically, it was TikTok – a newfound source of entertainment amidst the chaos – that jolted me out of my reverie. It reminded me that this season of life, as challenging as it may be, is fleeting. The magic of witnessing my boys blossom from toddlers to little individuals with boundless curiosity and creativity is a gift beyond measure.
Their uninhibited imagination serves as a poignant reminder to shed the shackles of self-imposed limitations and embrace the vast expanse of possibility. As I witness their growth, I'm inspired to nurture my own creative pursuits and personal development, free from the constraints of doubt and fear.
Yet, amidst the pursuit of personal and professional endeavors, finding balance remains elusive. Being a devoted wife, mother, and entrepreneur demands a delicate equilibrium – one that often teeters on the brink of chaos.
